Sam Smart
Managing Director
Sam joined Stonewood as a Site Manager in 2006 and brought with him 10 years’ experience as a carpenter within his family business. Sam began running high spec renovation, conservation and new build projects before being appointed a Director in 2016 now leads the Homes division.
Caroline Ferris
Head of Sales
Caroline has many years of experience in sales, having worked in estate agency for nearly 15 years. Caroline strives daily to provide honest and realistic advice to potential buyers whilst focusing on their needs as well as helping them fulfil their requirements.
Blake Kendall
Contracts Manager
Blake joined Stonewood in 2020 with over 15 years’ experience in the industry and a successful stint at a major housebuilder. Skilled in CSCS, SMSTS, Contractors, Project Estimation, and Inspection. Blake holds an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management focused in Construction Management.

This is without doubt the biggest contributor to our success so far. Our 97% staff retention over the last ten years demonstrates how valuing the people we work with pays off.
Of our board, 80% have worked hands-on in the industry while 90% of our group site managers have been promoted internally. Seven of our twenty five site managers began with us as labourers and progressed through apprenticeships into supervisory and eventually management positions. We employ more than 200 skilled and dedicated people.
Our management style is based on the team spirit we first found on the sports field and in the intervening years nothing has changed. Our people are our strength.
