A Thoughtful Surprise for Sandford Primary Pupils, Courtesy of Stonewood Homes
When pupils at Sandford Primary School returned from their half-term break today, they were welcomed back with a delightful surprise. A newly enhanced Key Stage 1 Build Zone and Forest School area, made possible through the generosity and community spirit of the Stonewood Homes team.
This initiative was led by our Contracts Manager, Lee Zeffiretti, who collaborated with local partners to deliver a meaningful upgrade to the school’s outdoor learning space. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities. We build not just homes but communities with lasting contributions that enrich everyday life.
🎁 Supporting Outdoor Learning Through Donation
With the kind support of Earthstone Construction and Elmtree Garden Contractors, we were proud to donate a selection of items designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning for the school’s youngest pupils:
- A vibrant wellie stand to keep muddy boots organised
- Buckets and brooms for imaginative play and practical fun
- Construction signs to inspire role play and teamwork
- Fresh mulch and topsoil to enhance the Forest School environment
These items were delivered by Lee on Friday 24th October, and carefully set up in time for the children’s return today.
📸 A Joyful Welcome Back
The transformation was captured by Mrs Stevens, class teacher for Ashton Class, who has shared photos of the new setup. We hope that the children will be delighted as they explore the refreshed outdoor space, filled with colour, texture, and opportunities for creative play.
💬 A Message of Thanks
Mrs Pocock, Headteacher at Sandford Primary, expressed her appreciation:
“We are incredibly grateful to Stonewood Homes for their generous donation to our Early Years outdoor area. Their support has made a real difference to the learning environment, providing our youngest children with exciting new opportunities to explore, play, and learn. It’s heartwarming to see local businesses investing in our school community – thank you for helping us bring our vision to life.”
