Worwell Rise: First Timber Frames go up in Tetbury

Work is progressing rapidly at Worwell Rise, our new development in the historic market town of Tetbury, Gloucestershire. This week saw a significant milestone – the first two timber frames have been erected on site – bringing the vision for this new community one step closer to reality.

Worwell Rise is part of Stonewood Homes’ current portfolio, offering 27 high-quality, energy-efficient homes in Tetbury. The homes will range from 3 to 5 bedrooms, and the scheme also includes provision for a new medical centre, reinforcing our role within the local community.

The project has been carefully designed to respond to the character of Tetbury and its Cotswold surroundings, combining sustainability with a sense of place.

The erection of the first two timber frames is a key step in the build process and marks an important moment in the site’s evolution. Timber framing offers advantages in precision, speed, and sustainability enabling Stonewood Homes to deliver homes with tight tolerances, reduced waste, and improved airtightness.

With the first skeleton structures now in place, the outlines of the homes are visible, giving a sense of the community that will soon emerge.

Over the coming weeks, the remaining frames will be erected, followed by roof installation, external cladding, windows, and internal works. As progress continues, prospective buyers will be invited to view the first homes as they near completion in spring 2026.

For anyone interested in living in Tetbury, Worwell Rise offers a rare opportunity to join a new sustainable community in a much-loved part of the Cotswolds. Contact our sales team to register your interest or arrange a site visit.
